• A Notice to Creditors is published on Form J193
• A Liquidation and Distribution Account notice is published on Form J187
Both are governed by the Administration of Estates Act and carry mandatory publication requirements.

Submission deadline: Wednesday, 25 February 2026 at 17:00
Publication date: Friday, 13 March 2026
Submission deadline: Tuesday, 3 March 2026 at 12:00
Publication date: Friday, 20 March 2026
Submission deadline: Tuesday, 10 March 2026 at 12:00
Publication date: Friday, 27 March 2026
Submission deadline: Tuesday, 17 March 2026 at 12:00
Submissions received after the cut-off cannot be guaranteed for that week’s publication.
Why these deadlines matter
A J193 (Notice to Creditors) triggers the statutory 30-day claim period.
A J187 (Liquidation and Distribution Account notice) triggers the 21-day inspection period in terms of Section 35(5).
If publication is delayed, the estate timeline shifts accordingly. Executors, attorneys and estate administrators must therefore ensure notices are submitted before the weekly cut-off.
What must be submitted before deadline
To secure publication, ensure you provide:
• Completed J193 or J187 form
• Master’s reference number
• Full executor or authorised agent details
• Clear instruction if Government Gazette placement is required
• Proof of payment where applicable
