Terms and conditions

Welcome to LegalNotice.co.za. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our legal notice publishing service in South Africa.

By accessing this website and using our services, you accept these terms in full. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

1. Company information

LegalNotice.co.za assist attorneys, executors and private individuals with formatting, editing, proofreading and publishing legal notices – including in the Government Gazette – across South Africa.

2. Services offered

We provide:

  • Formatting, editing and digital proofing of legal notices
  • Publishing of legal notices on dedicated platforms
  • Placement in the Government Gazette, where requested

Notices may be submitted via email or our upload form. A proof is returned within 24–48 hours. We offer same-day publishing for urgent cases, subject to availability.

3. Pricing and payment

All prices are quoted per notice and include:

  • Formatting and layout
  • Professional proofreading
  • Publication on requested platforms
  • A fixed service fee for Government Gazette placement (if required)

Payment is required upfront, unless otherwise agreed. Each client is treated individually and invoices reflect specific arrangements made via email or direct communication.

4. Refund policy

Once a proof has been sent to a client and signed off, the service is considered rendered. No refunds will be given for cancellations made after this point.

We do not refund for delays or publication issues outside our control, including Government Gazette scheduling delays.

5. Responsibility for content

Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete information in their notices. While we proofread all notices before publishing, LegalNotice.co.za accepts no liability for:

  • Errors in the original notice
  • Missed deadlines due to incorrect or late submissions
  • Any resulting loss or damage

6. Edits and corrections

Clients are allowed one change request after publishing. Thereafter, additional changes will be billed at a fixed rate. Any corrections made post-publication will apply only to platforms we control.

7. Legal jurisdiction

This website and all services provided are subject to South African law, specifically the directives of the Master of the High Court.

By using our services, you agree to resolve any disputes informally. Should legal action become unavoidable, the jurisdiction will fall under the Western Cape High Court.

8. Copyright

All content on LegalNotice.co.za, including formatting templates, layout styles, and written content, is protected by South African copyright law.

Clients may not reproduce, scrape, or copy our content without written permission. LegalNotice.co.za retains full copyright over all formatted notices, proofs and published materials.
