J193 Notice to Creditors – How to download, save and submit for publication

J193 Notice to Creditors

The J193 Notice to Creditors is the first advert in the deceased estate process. It must be published before the estate can move forward at the Master of the High Court. If you need to place a J193 Notice to Creditors, here is exactly what to do.

Step 1: Download the J193 form

Download the J193 Notice to Creditors form from Legal Notice Publishing. Make sure you use the latest version. Do not open and complete it inside your browser.

Step 2: Save it properly

The J193 is a live digital PDF form. It will show you “Please wait…” and will seem as if you cannot open it.

After downloading:

• Save it to your desktop
• Right-click on the file
• Click “Open with”
• Select Adobe Reader

Complete the form in Adobe Reader only.

If you fill it in inside your browser, the formatting can break. When that happens, the Government Gazette may reject it. That causes delays. Keep the form in its live PDF format. Do not print and scan it.

Step 3: Email it to us

Once completed, email the live PDF to: estates@legalnotice.co.za

We will:

• Prepare the correct notice wording
• Submit it to the Government Gazette
• Publish it on Nuusflits
• Send you proof of publication and your invoice

The J193 Notice to Creditors is the first legal step in the estate process. If it is done correctly, everything moves faster.

Download it. Save it properly. Email it to us. We take care of publication.
